OVERALL SUMMARY
This position will develop, implement, administer and maintain domestic and international compensation programs to achieve equitable and competitive compensation to attract, motivate and retain employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide compensation-related technical and functional expertise and internal consulting services on a global basis.
• Work closely with Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition and Senior Leadership on compensation proposals.
• Manage year end compensation process (Performance Ratings, Bonus, Merit and Equity).
• Oversee annual equity pool request and grant process.
• Liaise as compensation contact for each international entity and joint venture.
• Develop and implement recommendations for improvements to existing and/or new compensation programs, policies and procedures.
• Collect and maintain employee compensation data for each international region, ultimately will be involved in transitioning data to new HR System.
• Coordinate approval process of all international annual compensation programs – salary, bonus, LTI/equity with HBO in NY.
• Handle administration of all expats and transfers outside the US including working directly with outside vendors on relocation and tax services.
• Conduct research on competitive pay practices in countries we conduct business, gathering appropriate market data when necessary.
• Manage SR Compensation Analyst and Compensation Analyst.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Business or HR Management or equivalent experience; CCP a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in compensation. International compensation and expat experience a plus.
• Experience in media and entertainment industry required.
• Strong project management and leadership experience required.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced changing environment and be able to use independent judgment for decisions that may not be straightforward.
• Solid knowledge of compensation principals, programs, practices including compliance with local laws.
• Strong knowledge of excel spreadsheet development including formulas, functions, pivot tables & lookups.
• Work with large sets of data in Excel and/or Access DB and automate processes where needed.
• Systems experience including adhoc reporting, data management and administration.
• Ability to handle sensitive HR information with high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
