HBO Data Analyst (Workforce and People Analytics)
OVERALL SUMMARY
This position will conduct full lifecycle activities of data collection to data analysis and design, using large sets of data and turn it into information and/or insights to support business decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist the Manager of Workforce Analytics in producing, editing and proofing reports and dashboards online (on Workday), and offline (on Excel) which requires high proficiency in creating charts and graphs for HR Metrics, Demographics, Compensation Metrics and Biometrics
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns from the analysis and create summary reports for Senior Management
• Assist Manager of Workforce Analytics in maintaining Access Database to keep data clean and accurate if the organization restructures or as changes occur that impact the database
• Develop and maintain documentation for process changes, instructions or any updates for the reports, dashboard and Access Database
• Understand the business needs and requirements from different HR groups and provide technical and functional expertise relating to data analysis and reporting
QUALIFICATIONS
• BA or BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst
• Technical expertise in data models, database design development, and data mining
• Strong knowledge of and experience with Access to create queries, link tables and be able to reverse engineer existing database to understand how it works
• Strong knowledge of and experience with Excel functions, statistical formulas, pivot tables & v-lookups
• Experience with Workday report writing, creating calculated fields and dashboard is preferred but not required
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong critical thinking, excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive HR information with high degree of confidentiality and discretion
