Overall Summary:
Manage all online content and projects related to the HBO intranet, HBOnet. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, intranet content and design management, writing and editing for the web, project management, ad hoc graphic design and writing assignments as well as the strong ability to build relationships and be comfortable having frequent interactions with project teams and internal business partners within our organization. Work closely with the Technology team to maintain site standards with regard to new development. Ensure that all intranet documents and pages are updated and meet established content standards. Work with developers (Technology) to assess any technical challenges in displaying the content on HBOnet. Maintain familiarity with a variety of HBO's concepts, practices, and procedures. Consistently demonstrate expertise in managing online content, design and implementing internal campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create, develop, manage and consistently update content for HBOnet
• Maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all internal web properties. Ensure all documents meet established standards and work with developers to assess any technical challenges in displaying the content
• Coordinate HBOnet campaigns across departments and develop a master content calendar for all events
• Copy-edit and proofread all old and new web content (serve as a writer, editor, and/or proofreader for HBOnet)
• Assure web-based information is archived for future needs and reference
• Be a strong, consistent writer who pays close attention to detail (ability to write for online and for promotional campaigns, articles and executive memos)
• Track and report on all site metrics as needed
• Coordinate crisis communications with the Business Continuity team
• Collaborate with key team members, departments, clients and vendors on executive memos, company announcements and campaigns as needed
• Keep current with emerging technologies and industry trends
Key Requirements:
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in creating/writing content for web or other digital media
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
• Exceptional written and oral communication, editing and proofreading skills
• Advanced knowledge of HTML and experience working with TeamSite or other content management systems
• Strong knowledge of the Adobe Suite – particularly PhotoShop
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direction and to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with attention to detail
• Ability to contribute and introduce new ideas around streamlining processes or new resources and tools for the team to utilize
• Highly organized, intrinsically motivated and a great team player with proven ability to build consensus and work collaboratively with a cross-departmental team
• Ability to exercise good judgment and make solid decisions to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Experience with graphic design for the web and print, as well as with retouching images and designs a plus
