Details: Marketing and Business Administration Intern (Unpaid):

Based at: Virtual Internship: Intern may be based in any of these production cities: New York, LA, Atlanta, New Orleans, Albuquerque, Toronto, Vancouver, or be based in the Washington, DC area or any other large city. Regular communication will be through Skype and other electronic means.

Position reports to: Company President and Company VPs

Position Purpose Summary: The Marketing and Business Administration Intern’s role will involve 2 day a week participation in the marketing and business administration process for an emerging startup Film and Television Product Placement company.
Hours Worked: Normal business hours
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
o Assists in creating Power Point and other multimedia presentations to be used in marketing and other related presentations
o Helps to prospect and research future possible clients
o Researches pertinent market data and production data
o Helps to create collateral marketing materials
o Document management: assists in ensuring pertinent company wide documents remain current and accessible to applicable employees and team members:
- Maintains company wide database
- Updates contact lists and other pertinent docs regularly for marketing purposes
- Assists in updates to social network and/or conventional media: blog postings, press release copy, photo/video upload, etc.
o Executes detailed shipping instructions
o Helps to coordinate placement deliveries between clients and productions
o Occasionally assists in coordinating travel arrangements for staff
o Pitches in as needed during major client meetings, and/or launch event(s)

Skills and qualifications required:
- Background in Film and Television specific training and experience; art department and/or props a plus
- Background in marketing training and experience
- Proficient in: Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite, Skype.
- Familiar with the methods and limitations of FedEx and similar next day shipping services
- Familiarity with: Internet research, travel planning and social networking sites: Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, twitter, blogs, etc.
- Possess an email and text equipped mobile device
- Possess a computer with programs listed above
- Reliable, articulate, team player
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess a professional demeanor

This is for the "spring into summer" internship- starting late April, May or early June.
