Perfect Applicant:
• Talks literature, immersed in current events, international affairs, politics. Voracious reader a must
• Understanding of publishing & meeting industry
• An excellent communicator, savvy negotiator with an extremely professional phone & in person presence
• Has experience developing, presenting and CLOSING deals
• Has met sales goals with 3+ years proven sales experience
• Exhibits the utmost diplomacy and grace under fire
Ability to train, direct, and support sales staff; establish territories, goals and quotas
• Self-motivated with a strong ability to support and motivate others
• Can-Do person-follows up and reports on successes and failures
• Strong work ethic, desire to work in entrepreneurial environment
• Experience in Publishing & understanding of inner workings of major publishing focus
• Contacts in the corporate, library, or other niche literary marketplaces
• Extremely detail oriented and big picture focused
• Excellent problem solving and attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills and ability to be resourceful are imperative
• Great initiative with the ability to demonstrate strong judgment, professionalism and poise
• Web & marketing understanding
