Greater Talent Network, seeks a creative self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills. Are you a superb writer with good technical skills who loves to wear many hats? We are seeking a talented copywriter & social media strategist to assist our creative team in the development of external marketing communications.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and ambitious individual with strong communication skills who knows how to think conceptually, respond positively to constructive criticism and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Major Responsibilities:
-Create content for email copy, website copy, promotional copy, and other materials as needed.
-Create copy that is clear, accurate, engaging and concise
-Create content for Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc) as well as weekly e-blasts, etc.
-Ensure consistency and adherence to brand standards and brand voice
-Effectively manage the production workflow and meet deadlines
-Monitor social media groups, trends, tools, and applications and recommend actions/next steps
-Stay current on emerging trends and new channels in social media
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and knowledge:
-1-3 years' experience in sales copywriting, editing and/or marketing
-Proven ability to write and develop compelling marketing copy for online and print materials (strong
writing skills and graphical sense are a must)
-Proven ability to create effective marketing campaigns using print, online and email formats
-Proven ability to supervise and develop a team of direct reports
-Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud apps (namely InDesign and Photoshop) a strong plus
- Experience writing with SEO guidelines in mind
-Strong social media understanding, experience and engagement is a strong plus
-Excellent reading comprehension
-Enthusiastic collaborator
-Outstanding verbal & written communication skills
-Flexibility in communicating a variety of different voices
-Ability to see the big picture; tell a story that translates to our audience with captivating headlines and copy
Strong self-management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
-Proven ability to research and develop intricate social media strategy based on industry.
-Knowledge of WordPress CMS, basic HTML programming, and email marketing management programs (namely MailChimp) a plus
-Knowledge working with Google marketing analytics (not required but a plus)
-Has a BA/BS degree in Advertising, Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
-Strong portfolio of previous writing assignments/coursework with an advertising or marketing focus
-Experience writing a broad range of interactive projects, including banner advertising, landing pages, and videos.
-Eager to learn from a fast moving team of professionals
