Gravillis Inc., is a boutique graphic design firm seeking a General Manager to manage and oversee day-to-day operations. The GM must have a proven record of success in a fun but fast-paced entertainment industry environment, and understand our unique creative nature.
As part of the Gravillis Inc. team this role is critical to driving the growth and the success of the company. We are a boutique agency; therefore the General Manager will balance management responsibilities while dealing directly with CEO and Chief Creative Director.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
-Manage long and short-term budget planning for company, clients and office operations
-Identify new business opportunities, and lead proposal and development process from beginning to end: relationships, document preparation, pitching and sales / negotiation
-Work closely with the outside Business Manager/CPA
-Provide strategic support to Project Managers and Director of Finance
-Collaborate with Project Managers and Art Directors to achieve business objectives and define opportunities and engagements; as needed manage day-to-day aspects of design services
-Manage sensitive relationships and build ongoing partnerships between clients and collaborators
-Work with Project Managers to allocate in-house design and production resources
-Provide guidance and expertise on industry trends
-Develop, implement and support strategies that ensure overall business health and growth
-Collaborate with the CEO and Chief Creative Director to ensure work quality and productivity in the studio
-Promote a culture that reflects Gravillis Inc. values, encourages good performance, and rewards innovation
-Identify staff needs. Recruit and train new staff: outreach, negotiation and contracting, onboarding paperwork, establish and enforce employee policies and benefits.
-Will be responsible for all hiring and terminations
-Manage payroll for staff, freelancers and interns
-Manage review process for all personnel

Qualifications and Skills:
-Minimum 3+ years experience as a General Manager with a Human Resource background in the entertainment industry
-Able to manage and multi task day-to-day responsibilities
-Strong communication, organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills are essential
-Tact, diplomacy and the ability to maintain the confidentiality of information are a must
-Must be a team player and self starter who is flexible and able to deal with change in a professional manner
-Expert knowledge in all Microsoft Office Applications
The studio is a total Mac environment
-A sense of humor is a must
-B.A. degree required
