Summary:
The Accounting Coordinator will process accounts receivables activities for two Foundations.
Responsibilities include:
• Processes all check and credit card payments (including Desktop Deposit, Purchase Express and Authorize.net).
• Verifies and commits check and credit card batches in Raisers Edge.
• Makes adjustments to gift records in Raisers Edge.
• Follows up with staff regarding outstanding invoices.
• Generates internal invoices as requested.
• Generates tax letters for various events and donation letters.
• Creates constituent records in Raisers Edge as needed.
• Creates batches in Raisers Edge for non-event related revenue.
• Manages credit card charge backs.
• Maintains Accounts Receivable files.
• Reconciles monthly Account Receivable transactions to the bank statement.
• Prepares journal entries (as needed).
• Assists with annual auditor requests.
• Account reconciliations as requested, including Person of the Year (POTY) Silent Auction and other GRAMMY week related events.
• Assists with various GRAMMY related week activities including POTY Silent Auction.
• Files sale tax for POTY Auction.
• Generates various reports as requested in Raisers Edge.
• Assists with 20th Campaign payment tracking and updating balances.
• Drives to bank (as needed).
• Administrative duties as requested.
Qualifications include:
• Four year college degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related business field required.
• Two or more years of Accounts Receivable or general bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Attention to detail with solid grammar and punctuation skills.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure of tight deadlines.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all personnel in a professional manner.
