We are presently looking for a Content Acquisition Manager who be the face of the company when meeting and dealing with clients to help procure the flow of information and maintain good relations with the community. This person must have good people and communication skills, yet be comfortable digging into the data to work closely with and provide support for customer service, sales, and tech departments.
The person hired will have at least 3 years of experience managing a small team. With experience managing a Content team a plus.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
The Content Acquisition Manager will be the face of the company when meeting and dealing with clients to help procure the flow of information and maintain good relations with the community. This person must have good people and communication skills, yet be comfortable digging into the data to work closely with and provide support for customer service, sales, and tech departments.
This is a position for someone who:
Has Development/Production experience in either/both Film & TV
Is a self-starter and able to independently solve problems, learn new tools and then teach others
Works well both independently and within a team construct
Good with managing a dedicated team
Enjoys passionately tracking film/TV deals, reviews, and industry news
Responsibilities include:
Coordinate all data-collection efforts for the Acquisition staff. Manager will direct efforts to update, but not limited to, relevant information for:
Project Slates
Identifying new projects and updating current slates
Agency & other Representatives Client info
Company Rosters
Tracking Boards review and/or maintenance
Build relationships and expand reach and position within the industry
Work closely with other various internal departments, including content management, sales, tech, customer service, and QA to communicate efforts and results
Work with team members and senior leadership to develop workflow and content solutions to meet the needs of the business
Create team goals and priorities
Identify and manage sources for data
Build requirements of automated and ad-hoc reports to assign out
Enter data into CMS system when needed
FOR THIS ROLE WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE:
Required:
5-7 years of experience as a development executive, production coordinator, or agency experience
Bachelor's degree in either film, communications, business or marketing
Demonstrated knowledge of entertainment deals and news via Trades - avid consumer of Variety, Hollywood Reporter, TheWrap, Deadline, Indiewire, SSN Insider, etc.
Experience extensively using/researching IMDB or has Used Studio System previously
Previous experience managing a small team required
Ability to take a task/request and independently run with it
Outstanding written and verbal/interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Able to prioritize tasks accordingly and meet set deadlines
Expertise with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
This position will require occasional attendance at events in the late afternoon and at night.
Other duties as assigned
Preferred:
A member of several entertainment tracking boards
Knowledge of Salesforce
