You are fascinated by all the new developments that are changing every day's TV and video consumption. You are excited about the possibility to help the consumer find his way through the ever-bigger universe of TV channels, and video-on-demand services and web TV. You will be responsible for ensuring that our database always holds the latest, complete and correct TV schedules for more than 28 countries across the world.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Project Management & Vendor Relationship
Manage the relationships with multiple EPG data providers from different countries at an operational level
Continuously monitor EPG data feed quality from a technical and a content perspective
Work with internal and external partners to optimize data supply processes, define service level agreements, and develop best practices
Coordinate setup of new data provider feeds with business owner and technical teams
Data Analysis & Content Requirements
Evaluate new data providers in cooperation with Business Development
Define requirements for EPG management tools and reporting on data quality
Analyze quality reports from customers to improve data quality, channel coverage and matching rates
Work with internal customers to gather and define content requirements, execute on those requirements, then present final solution for feedback
Develop plans, workflows, diagrams, and documentation summarizing the scope and results of projects
Communication & Support
Regular communication with local offices, - occasional morning /evening conference calls will be required.
Investigate customer complaints and follow up with EPG data providers
Support customer projects in cooperation with Professional Services, Product Management and Sales
Support contract negotiations with new and existing partners in collaboration with Business Development
Requirements
Familiarity with web content technologies including HTML, XML
Knowledge of SQL, data analysis, and familiarity with content management systems Familiarity with SQL, data analysis, and content management systems
Experience with profiling and analyzing data sets
Takes immense pride in work
Comfortable working within teams and independently
Very good at problem solving and clearly documenting investigation for an array of audiences
Ability to make authoritative decisions and provide concise logic for making decision
Ability to summarize complex topics for non-technical customers both verbally and visually
At ease when communicating with external international business partners.
Possesses an extreme passion for detail
Domain expertise in video and television products
Frequent user of media related technologies
3 years of experience in the software or media entertainment industry.
Fluent in one or more European language (German, French, Spanish and Italian is a plus)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
BA/BS degree required
