Role Summary
The CFO will lead the Finance organization for Connectivity. This position reports directly to the Global CFO (dotted to the BU Leaders), and will be responsible for all financial leadership elements of the BU, including operations analysis, budget and planning, controllership and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
Describe the key responsibilities & role criteria. More specifically, the job entails:
• Ultimate responsibility for providing timely and accurate financial information to the BU Presidents, and Corporate CFO.
• Responsible for ensuring that efficient policies and procedures and the proper internal controls are in place and for ensuring the accuracy of the division’s financial reporting processes.
• CFO will make sure the BU’s books are prepared and closed within the monthly guidelines established by the corporate office, and that the financial statements accurately reflect the BU’s operations.
• Directs and coordinates BU’s financial planning and budget management functions.
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
• Oversee daily operations of the BU’s Finance and Accounting department.
• Manage the preparation and submission of all financial reports to senior management and corporate office.
• Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.
• Provide financial support with regard to evaluating acquisition opportunities and performing due diligence.
• Partner with business unit management to analyze and support full P&L responsibility.
• Support the coordination and development of business unit financial plans and forecasting tools/processes.
• Drive the dissemination and collection of input/output data, critical assumption and management reporting requirements.
• Leads the implementation of business unit performance measures.
• Develop processes and set infrastructure to measure, understand and monitor business unit results relative to action plans and milestones.
• Align resources with shared services to drive business unit focus. Provide project management support for critical action plans other initiatives that cut across business unit.
• Coordinate with other financial disciplines/functions in support of business transactions, e.g., regulatory issues, analysis of legal entities, etc.
• Directly and indirectly manages employees in the Finance and Accounting Department. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications/Experience
• Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting with strong Finance/Accounting experience.
• Ten years experience in finance or accounting position with at least 7 years at a senior level
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Prior M&A experience required.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
• In depth knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
• Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
• Strong computer skills for presentation and analysis of data.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the company. Project management skills.
