Role summary
The VP Client Services, will provide overall leadership for growth and delivery of all GEE’s business with client’s airline.
The particular focus of this VP role is to lead the development and delivery of additional growth opportunities over ae above those from traditional media and content services, such as the supply of movie, TV, audio, and games content.
The VP Client Services will operate at a senior level within the client and be instrumental in developing the 3-5 year growth plan and development roadmap to expand the range of services offered by GEE into the area of the wider travel media market.
This is a senior position and will report direcly to the Managing Director, Media & Content Services
Key responsibilities
• Ensure achievement of target revenues, margin, client retention, service levels, innovation, growth and overall client satisfaction with GEE
• Take overall P&L ownership of all GEE services provided to the client and operation to agreed target levels, including cash collection
• Take ownership of the long term revenue growth plan for the client, expanding the range of services that GEE offers into areas beyond traditional video, tv, audio, creative and games services to generate revenues from the broader travel media market
• Lead development of business cases supporting investment in new growth opportunities within client
• Lead creation and delivery of periodic innovation and growth planning events with key client stakeholders, ensuring provision of expert internal and external knowledge and industry insights to identify growth opportunities for the client and GEE
• Lead development and closing of sales opportunities, bringing in appropriate support from other areas within GEE
• Lead the contracting process, bringing in additional specialist support where required, to ensure opportunities become signed contracts
• Lead development and maintenance of key senior relationships with the client at the VP and Director level in areas
• Take overall line management of the client services team supporting the client
• Set the direction for resources in other functional areas contributing to servicing the client
• Grow the performance of the client’s team to ‘best in class’ within the GEE portfolio
• Supervise the delivery of existing services to the client through oversight of the cross functional Client Service delivery team
• Establish monthly financial performance reviews, performance analysis and continuous improvement across the key activities to deliver services to our clients
• Maintain a zero risk approach to rights usage and a zero tolerance of infringement
• Act as the key source of local market and client knowledge of key trends, issues and opportunities related to the client and ensure these are brought in to how the account is managed for growth
• Support the Managing Director in establishing the client as a key source of growth and best practice across the wider GEE portfolio
Qualifications and Skills
• Significant demonstrated experience from a client service environment, managing development and delivery of multiple services to clients and growing revenue
• Specific knowledge of media products, services and associated rights, pricing and contracting , both with clients and suppliers of services
• Good understanding of key digital media external market trends and evidence of capitalising on them to drive revenue and margin growth
• Experience of market leading practices in content curation, multiplatform distribution and commercialisation of audiences, most likely gained from working with leading players in this field
• 10 Years minimum in digital media
• Comfortable with driving change within external client and internal teams
• Sufficient communications impact and gravitas to command respect and trust with senior clients
• People management experience across different countries and cultures
• Track record of taking control of situations and driving change to improve performance
• Understanding of key drivers within the air travel industry and the relevance of travel media services for passengers, airlines and brand partners
• Experience of audience media consumption trend analysis, insight development and usage to develop growth opportunities
• Good Bachelors degree in a business, technology or operations related discipline
