Key responsibilities
Under the Sr. Manager, Technology (DMS)’s supervision, the successful candidate will be responsible of the managing the infrastructure team and the quality assurance team and leading its processes for GEE’s Digital Media Solution products and service solutions. Specifically, the candidate will:
Infrastructure team
• Ensure deliveries are properly tested by taking into account QA, load tests & system tests
• Ensure continuous IT security
• Lead continuous improvement efforts by identifying improvement areas, reduce costs, reassess and challenge standardization needs, identification of automation opportunities, etc.
• Review and provide support for the creation of training, specification, and architecture documentation
• Ensure knowledge base content for level 1 and level 2 support is adequate
• Oversee, anticipate, and deliver solutions for installed systems
• Standardize and document infrastructure processes
• Communicating information effectively to the various stakeholders (developers, clients, project managers, etc.)
Quality Assurance team
• Participate in planning and development of quality controls
• Part of the extended project team to plan ahead QC and QA needs
• Create, coordinate and manage the international test flight strategy required for commercial launches
• Oversee creation and maintenance of test cases in line with product requirements
• Produce analysis and reports in connection with the testing team (standard QA reports, test plans, test cases, team productivity, etc.)
• Lead continuous improvement efforts by identifying improvement areas, reduce costs, reassess and challenge testing needs, identification of automation opportunities, etc.
• Standardize and document QA processes
• Participate in the development of new tools and internal processes
• Communicating information effectively to the various stakeholders (developers, clients, project managers, etc.)
• Promote and enforce the uses of QA and QC best practices
• Accountable to communicate product quality level before any external delivery and stop delivery if quality standards are not met
People management
• Responsible of the performance and career management of its direct reports
• Elaborate, maintain and communicate resource plan to manage / align / utilize skillset and workload (through Float and Jira)
• Motivate the team to contribute to GEE and operation vision
• Coach and mentor the team leads to foster an effective and mature team
• Onboard and train new staff on best practices and uses internal tools
Qualifications
• B.E/MCA/PG in Computers
• Testing course from a reputed institute
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality assurance
• Team management experience
• Knowledge of Kanban methodology is an asset
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
