Role Summary
The SVP of Marketing will be will develop and execute our overall go-to-market strategy aimed at driving significant customer and revenue growth. This role offers channel diversity across online and offline in large markets and smaller developing markets. Deep functional and technical marketing expertise, exception leadership skills and industry experience will be key to the success of the SVP of Marketing. This role is a key member of the Senior Management team.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of marketing planning, budgeting, metrics and reporting; as well as external agencies and relationships with marketing services.
• Oversee all Marketing communications, strategies and activities related to: Trade Shows, Brochures, Corporate Website, Branding & collateral materials
• Utilize critical key market intelligence data and research to define markets, generate leads and improve product value proposition.
• Develop and implement market penetration strategy.
• Responsible for all aspects of branding, public image, advertising strategy and marketing campaigns .
• Product Marketing: In collaboration with the sales market segments for each of our Business Units, create and refine sales and communication tools and approaches that will refine our go to market plan across multiple locations.
• Build and lead a team which will develop, publish and manage content that generates sales leads, positions the organization as a thought leader, and expands brand equity and awareness.
• Develop annual strategic marketing plans and associated budgets, working closely with the VP of Sales for each market segment to support on RFP, proposals and quotes to develop and maintain a common corporate standard.
• Monitor market trends, and develop forecast and associated plans, marketing campaigns and timelines.
• Enhance business relationships with leading industry, to including coordinating events and sponsorships.
• Conduct thorough market, industry and competitive research and analysis to go-to-market strategy and identify best customer prospects.
• Evaluate, recommend, negotiate and buy sponsorships, attendance, or speakership, at relevant trade shows and industry conferences.
• Accountable for accurate and on-time reporting essential for sales organization effectiveness.
• Achieves strategic objectives defined by company management.
Qualifications/Experience
• 10 years of Marketing experience in (Satellite) telecommunications in positions of increasing responsibility, with focus on marketing expansion.
• 10 years of leadership experience with the ability to motivate and provide professional development
• BA required, major in Marketing or Business. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, demand generation, brand, product and service management, sales and business development; along with a demonstrated track record of success and performance.
• Experience working with branding and messaging to different target markets
• Experience leading and motivating a high-performance team and objectively measuring employee performance to goals.
