Job Description – Oracle EBS HCM Budgeting & Planning Technical Developer
Title – Technical Developer – Oracle EBS HCM Budgeting & Planning
Description
In this role, the individual will be responsible for performing a variety of technical duties including participate in the requirements analysis and provide technical design solutions. The Individual will also be responsible for development and unit testing of the required solutions for Oracle EBS as well as develop the build instructions and work closely with the DBA team to deploy the solution into UAT environment and Production. Oracle EBS Technical Developer will work closely with the functional analysts and Oracle EBS Technical Developer Lead on technical design for new functionality and break-fixes for all defects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Includes the following, other duties may be assigned.)
• Develop and maintain various business reports or data extracts as required by the business utilizing Discoverer, BI Publisher, or Oracle reports.
• Detailed technical troubleshooting of day to day production issues.
• Work on application development projects as well as enhancements and maintenance of existing applications
• Technical knowledge of all or most of the following modules (AP, AR, GL, CM, FA, AGIS, XLA, iProcurement, iExpense, PO, AME, OM, Shipping, WIP, MRP, Projects, INV, BOM, Maintenance and Repair), AME
• Application architecture, design and data modeling
• In-Depth knowledge and experience with Web ADI
• Approval workflow design with AME
• Development of Stored Procedures, Triggers, Hints for performance tuning, PL/SQL programs, Workflows, Forms, Reports (BI Publisher, Oracle and Discoverer reports), Interfaces, etc
• Create technical and configuration document as well as migration documentation as per industry standards and company policies
• Personalization’s/Customizations of the OA Framework
• Participate in integrated system-level tests, identify and resolve systems issues.
• Responsible for the back-end PL/SQL programming of the business rules pertaining within the Application Suite.
• Design, develop, implement, maintain and unit test PL/SQL software applications over Oracle database and Linux on different database schemas, functions and stored procedures. Also, resolve defects encountered during various testing cycles.
• Actively participate in the design sessions in prototyping new systems for enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
• Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
• Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in the custom code or other CEMLI processes across the organization.
• Create system design proposals.
• Effectively communicate and work in a collaborative team environment. Oracle EBS Technical Developer is expected to play a key role in the architectural design of solutions.
Education and/or Experience
• At least 4 years of experience in Experience working with Oracle e-Business Suite which includes Release 12
• At least 4 years of experience in Experience with one or more of the following: Workflow, Oracle Report, Discoverer, and XML Publisher, Oracle Applications tools such as Oracle Forms, OA Framework, SOA architecture, utilizing Oracle public API’s and Open Interfaces.
• At least 5 years of experience in Programming experience in one or more of the following technologies: PL/SQL, Java (J2EE), OA Framework, Java Web Frameworks & XML, Oracle Fusion, OBIEE
• Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Workflow, HTML, JavaScript, XML Publisher, Oracle Scheduler, TKPROF, OA Framework and Forms within the context of Oracle e-Business Suite
• At least 5 years of experience in development, technical design, and documentation of Oracle Applications, dependent data conversions interfaces and custom applications including use of documented revision control.
• Experience writing technical specifications and support documentation that would help Business Analysts and Testers with SDLC process as well as the ability to move high quality code to production in a timely way
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve software issues
• Familiar with highly complex applications implemented over Oracle Database and Linux/ Unix for any EBS applications, with familiarity and understanding of its respective cycles
• Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
• In depth knowledge of seeded Oracle Applications organization and underlying data structures, including APIs and Open Interfaces for Oracle EBS R12.
• Extensive Technical Oracle experience in the following modules: GL, AR, AP, Cost accounting, Inventory, BOM, Advanced Pricing, Engineering, Payments, Quality, Web ADI, Sub ledger Accounting, OM, Purchasing, Shipping, WIP, MRP, Project Accounting
• Proficient with SQL Plus, Toad, SQL Navigator, Developer Forms & Reports
• Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL development, stored procedures and triggers, analyzing query plans and query tuning, partitioning, optimizer hints.
• Familiarity with and adherence to design and coding standards
• Ability to adapt to continually-changing priorities and aggressive project timeframes . Ability to display accountability for team and projects .
• Experience with UNIX Shell Scripting
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks in the high-pace and high-pressure environment with multiple priorities without the need for micromanagement.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• English: Basic knowledge
• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, or management information systems
