Role Summary
The Network & Satellite Planning Engineer will be responsible to develop and maintain the mobility annual plan ensuring the necessary capacity in GEE/EMC global network for their customers. Failures in the plan design will impact directly customer services, revenues and it can have an inefficient utilization of satellite capacity resources in millions of dollars per year.
Key Responsibilities
Main responsibilities and tasks in this role are the following:
• Build the mobility annual plan based on itinerary analysis and capacity forecasting per region and network.
• Progress analysis and review of the annual plan.
• Maintain and updates the annual plan as customers changes their requirements.
• Perform risk analysis developing and proposing mitigation actions.
• Partners with others Operations teams to ensure the successful execution of the annual plan.
• Implement network cost savings strategies in line with monthly and annual targets.
• Develop projects and analyze opportunities for optimize satellite capacity (landbase, maritime and aero)
Qualifications/Experience
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics or similar technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and general network theory desired.
• Analytical & task oriented
• Problem solving & strategic thinking
• Knowledge of VSAT and general RF theory required.
• Relevant knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Budget and financial management
• Fluent in English spoken and reading
