Role Summary
Hyperion Systems Analyst position is responsible for providing the functional and technical direction and support of the Oracle Hyperion Planning and Essbase. As a member of IT Team, this individual will contribute functional, technical and business skills to recommend and develop automated solutions that improve business financial reporting. The main goal of this position is to work closely with Global Eagle FP&A and Finance departments help improve accuracy, ease and timeliness of Financial reporting through proper design, configuration and automation of data within Oracle Hyperion system.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop Hyperion Planning application dimensions and hierarchies
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot data load rules, calc scripts, business rules, WebForms, and reports
• Develop and maintain automation of data flowing into and out of Hyperion Planning
• Perform upgrades, proactive tuning, optimization, and monitoring of Hyperion environments
• Work with infrastructure team in identifying and resolving environment (database, OS, network, security, etc.) issues
• Collaborate with Oracle EBS integration.
• Effectively communicate progress and issues with management and team
• Consult with business users to identify current business operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.
• Document business user processes and create specifications for coding systems or programs including the data sources to be utilized.
• Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain those programs throughout the product life cycle.
• Review, analyze, and modify programming systems by encoding, testing, debugging, and installing systems and programs which support an organization’s business processes.
• Create moderately complex reports to support business users and management requests.
• Integrate programs with other systems in the organization.
• Ensure that monthly Oracle financial actuals data is loaded into Hyperion accurately and on a timely basis, and investigate potential issues with the monthly load
• Create/maintain applications, manage and update dimensions, configures application settings, loads data and conversion tables, administer and monitor security, maintain rules and member list files, manage mapping files and performs data extracts
• Modify existing Hyperion reports and/or create reports for monthly Financial Review
• Creates and maintains data forms, SmartView worksheets, business rules and task lists
• Manage manual cost center, accounts and staffing metadata updates in Hyperion Workspace
• Manage substitute variables in Essbase Administration Services (EAS) for each month-end, forecast and annual budget planning cycles
• Manage Hyperion EAS outline and cost center structure
• Provide user technical and business support including ideas and recommendations regarding the use of systems as well as their further development
• Conduct research and analysis into the nature, effect and results of system problems
• Review and approve requested system changes and develop detailed specifications for implementation
• Communicate system changes and coordinate and/or perform testing of system modifications
• Drive continuous improvement efforts and initiate enhancements, both process and system related
Qualifications
/Experience
• 2 years of Oracle Financials and Hyperion experience, preferably supporting large global roll outs for financial reporting.
• 1 years operational corporate finance forecasting, budgeting and planning experience
• Experience developing and working with the Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Essbase applications including development, configuration and server management
• Experience with Hyperion partitioning, scripting, business rules, and integration technologies (ASO/BSO, ODI, FDMEE, and DRM)
• Experience working with MaxL & MDX scripting languages
• Working knowledge of SmartView for report creation and submission of data into Hyperion
• Advanced financial modeling skills and an expert or administrative user of Hyperion Planning, SmartView, Financial Reporting Studio, Essbase and Oracle Discovery required
• Experience with Oracle e-Business Suite / Oracle Financials implementation
• Good experience with SQL, BI or other data querying and analysis tools to access and transform the data as needed.
• Proven ability to write & clearly communicate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Understanding of business intelligence concepts
• BS degree in Finance or MIS
• Certified Hyperion Professional Essbase is a plus
• Certified Hyperion Professional for Hyperion Planning is a plus
