Campaign Manager, Advertising & Sponsorship Americas | Global Eagle Entertainment Inc.
General Summary of the Position
GEE Advertising & Sponsorship team represent a portfolio of the world’s leading airlines for Inflight advertising, sponsorship, partner management and ancillary revenue generation.
We work closely with our airline partners, advertising agencies and global brands to create some of the most engaging and valuable media campaigns in the industry.
The Campaign Manager, Advertising & Sponsorship will be a key point of contact for airline partners, clients and internal stakeholders at GEE. Excellent communication, organization and decision-making skills will be required to support the demands of a fast-paced global organization, working within both the aviation and media industry.
The individual will be responsible management of advertising campaigns from initial proposal through to campaign delivery and post-campaign analysis. You will work closely with the team to create presentations and reports to airline partners and advertising clients.
The successful applicant will have experience of working for a media owner or advertising agency and will have a proven track record of supporting a sales team. Experience with developing creative sales materials and reporting of campaign results is essential.
The newly-created role will be instrumental in the continued growth and success of GEE’s global Advertising and Sponsorship team, with a direct impact on the immediate Americas team, located in New York City.
The role is based in New York and reports to the Manager, Media Advertising & Sponsorship.
Occasional travel will be a requirement.
Key responsibilities
• Provide first line of sales support to the Americas team
• Help the Media Manager throughout sales projects by providing accurate avails, sales collateral, marketing materials, and sales reports while utilizing internal operations resources upon request
• Work closely with the Traffic Manager and gain a full understanding of the traffic process for the IFE, IFC, and Executive Lounge networks. Become the main back up for all traffic related tasks
• Take a leading role in the creation of research studies and presentations
• Coordinate projects and RFP responses to tight timelines across multiple markets, globally
• Conduct post campaign analysis for advertisers
• Work with GEE connectivity and Operations teams to analyze and report on data from GEE’s Inflight WiFi advertising portals
• Collate airline industry news and research to share with the GEE sales team and airline partners
• Manage the sales booking process with GEE finance and operations team
• Manage photography and proof of display across GEE media portfolio
• Support in the development of new media opportunities across new and existing airline partners
• Manage and coordinate pipeline of sales opportunities for advertising team
• Generate internal and external reports on the effectiveness of the GEE media estate, based on industry-recognized audience measurement tools
• Generate media kits and rate cards for airline partners
• Help drive team strategy, continuous improvement & knowledge sharing initiatives. Identify trends to enhance the customer support process and improve team efficiency
Key Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within advertising sales, marketing or sales support
• Strong understanding of media campaigns, preferably in the Out-of-Home or online sector
• Experience with database/reporting tools like AdDatabase, MRI Research, Kantar, AdViews, Clear Decisions, NPower, Telecume, and others a plus.
• Excellent Powerpoint, Excel and MS skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate across numerous departments
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Must effectively manage deadlines and processes
• Strong commitment to customer service
• Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision

• Flexibility to support 24 / 7 operations and different time zones for client relationships
• Available to travel multiple times per month
• Experience of working with Salesforce or similar CRM
