Full Time Job
Engineering position to support the Row 44 Aircraft Design and Certification Engineering team. The role will focus on the Design, Installation and Development of the Row44 Connectivity system onboard Commercial Aircraft. Includes system interface development, equipment placement and all certification aspects pertaining to the installation design and certification. The position will also support sustaining current installations and designs for the Row44 customer base to make minor and major changes to existing documentation in support of system upgrades and modifications. Duties may also include development and qualification of new LRUs for use in the Row44 Connectivity System.
Key responsibilities
• Review and develop Row44 System Installations and Designs so as to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Verify that the maintenance program is amended to reflect adherence to technical requirements
• Take action as required to incorporate applicable changes that are determined to provide benefits in accordance with departmental objectives and management directives
• Responsible for the understanding, periodic review, implementation, update, and currency of the Avionics and Electrical system components of the Row44 Connectivity System
• Conduct root cause analysis for avionics and electrical system/component problems which may cause aircraft delays, cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations. Initiates the action required to remedy any undesirable condition(s) detected for the Connectivity System
• Develop technical data required for Row44 STCs on aircraft avionics and electrical systems and components
• Obtains regulatory approval for modifications of avionics and electrical systems and components in support of Row44 modifications
• Initiate action required to ensure that source documents affected by engineering actions are updated and reflect current data, configuration, and accuracy
• Develop customized procedures and special criteria for repairs, modifications, inspections, servicing, and other maintenance actions which are not adequately addressed in existing manuals for Row44 Connectivity System integration
• Provide engineering documents such as Engineering Orders (EO) and drawings to provide technical dispositions for repairs, modifications, inspection, or other maintenance actions on Row44 System
• Evaluate new methods, materials and equipment, which may provide cost benefits, and takes action to incorporate justified changes
• Establish build specifications for Row44 avionics and electrical system components
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, with an avionics background including, but not limited to, Communications, Electrical Power, and Information Systems
• Minimum three (3) years experience in the airline industry
• Knowledgeable background in aircraft electronics, avionics systems, power distribution and cabin electronics
• Background in troubleshooting aircraft avionics and system problems
• Experienced in systems integration
