TV Production Internship Fall 2017
Glass Entertainment Group is looking for interns for the Fall of 2017:
Glass Entertainment Group is an award winning television innovation offering a fresh creative style for cable programming, broadband and web production.
We work in both standard and high definition with full post production facilities and a special effects studio. Clients include: HGTV, DIY, A&E, Oxygen, CNN, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, and many more.
Job Requirements: Currently enrolled undergraduate/graduate students at an accredited college or university with a focus in the Communications/TV/Film/Video/Media. We offer a 15 week internship during Fall & Spring semesters or a 12 week internship during the summer. Seeking full time interns or at the very least part time 2-3 days/ 18 hours per week. This internship is unpaid.
Interns will rotate every couple of weeks and work on a variety of tasks in several departments including but not limited to:
Pre-Production/Production: During their time with the Pre-Production/Production team, the interns will work under an Associate Producer for one show, handling tasks such as aiding in location scouts, transcribing and researching for upcoming shows. Interns will have the opportunity to go onset for a portion of the productions, and aid the Producers with the shoot.
Post Production: During their time with the Post Production/Management team, the interns will work under both the Director of Production & Post Production Coordinator. The interns will be handling tasks such as transcription, assisting with deliverables, learning basic avid and helping AE's with projects. They will also have the opportunity to sit in on edit sessions and receive basic knowledge on how a production company operates.
Development: During their time with the Development team, the interns will work with the entire team to develop new show ideas. From researching new show ideas to writing treatments, interns will learn how to turn an idea into an actual TV show pitch. Interns will learn about what networks look for in their programming and how that translates into making their pitches sellable. Opportunities in development may include sitting in on network calls, writing case summaries, researching topics for shows, and reaching out to prospective talent.
Each intern will be given a direct report in each area and will report to the Internship Supervisor for the overall internship in regards to scheduling, mentoring and problem resolution.
