Film Publicity Assistant/Coordinator

Ginsberg/Libby is seeking a film publicity assistant or coordinator, based on experience level.
GINSBERG/LIBBY is a boutique public relations firm formed in 2009 that focuses on film, film festivals, awards, television, corporate branding, and interactive marketing. With a combined 23 years of experience successfully working in public relations, Ginsberg and Libby joined forces to create a vibrant new company with a fresh perspective.
We are looking to hire a full time assistant or coordinator interested in pursuing a career in publicity. Primary responsibilities include booking screenings, handling screening RSVP and attendee lists, managing press clippings, covering some screenings and events in the evening, and actively assisting two teams that work on a wide variety of film releases and film awards campaigns.
Ideal candidate will be hard-working, highly organized, resourceful, detail-oriented, with excellent phone and email manner. Ideal candidate wants to be part of a fun, interactive environment for years to come and is interested in PR as a long-term career.
Requirements:
Minimum one year office experience
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Publicity experience preferred
College degree from an accredited university
Qualifications:
Comprehensive understanding of pop culture and entertainment landscape
Strong writing and research skills
Ability to multitask, juggle multiple deadlines and prioritize in a very fast paced environment
Proactive, detail-oriented and well-organized
Must be a team player and have a positive attitude
Ability to work independently when needed without constant oversight
Experience working with Outlook, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Media Databases (Cision), FileMaker Pro, etc.
