Insurance Specialist/Supervisor
General Summary:
GSO Business Management is looking for an individual for our insurance department. A potential candidate must have a broad knowledge of all insurance matters that relate to high-net worth/entertainment clients. This role provides insurance processing support in the brokerage process to ensure timely and consistent communication between GSO, carriers, and clients. Responsibilities include but aren't limited to evaluating insurance exposures, getting quotes, meeting with clients and or partners and managers within the firm, preparing summaries of insurance, processing renewals, and ensuring premiums are paid. This individual will also assists in managing any and all insurance related claims.
- Manages and records client and carrier communications in workflow system to ensure timely follow up and review by client team.
- Meetings with clients and partners
- Responsible for gathering and formatting client renewal information, quotes, summaries of insurance and exposure documents
- Records quotes, declinations, indications, extensions and cancellations and escalates concerns to direct manager or client team
- Checks and confirms policy language
- Ensures timely payment of client premiums
- Management of insurance related claims
- Receives and records binders, policies, and endorsements and sends to clients
- Builds and maintains relationships with colleagues to provide timely and proactive customer service to clients
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
Multi-year experience (preferably 4 or more) with insurance billing and collections
Interpersonal, analytical, problem solving ability.
Organizational and time management skills are essential.
Strong customer service skills
Stable work history, great attendance and timely track record
A self-starter, requiring minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills
Professionalism in attitude and appearance
