Position: Scheduling Coordinator
Reporting to: VP, Multiplatform Planning & Scheduling and Manager, Multiplatform Scheduling & Standards
Location: Santa Monica, CA
GSN TV's Scheduling & Acquisitions department is looking for a Scheduling Coordinator to join the team. The Scheduling Coordinator will assist and support VP and Manager generating and distributing weekly program schedule grids; generating and distributing monthly VOD planners, artwork, and folder structures; coordinating and maintaining schedule and data integrity between programming and operations' databases; supporting and assisting with program standards and practices screening; performing on-line research on competitive programming; administrative support for department.
Responsibilities Include: Coordinate with VP and Manager on GSN's linear and VOD program schedules; Heavy data entry in SIMS scheduling database, creating episodic information, creating and proofing schedules, and pulling reports; Generate and distribute linear schedule grids; Generate and submit detailed Excel-based VOD planners, folder structures, corresponding artwork and additional metadata; Perform daily functions in SIMS database to help facilitate accurate schedule and data information flow between Scheduling's SIMS database, Operations' TLS database, and Traffic's Orion database;
Maintain and utilize episodic air order spreadsheets; Perform administrative tasks and record-keeping related to show Standards; Assist with screening and evaluating GSN original and acquired series for Standards review and ratings; Assist in maintaining program competitive documents through on-line research; Perform on-line research related to potential acquisitions; Research the internal Library database for guest star & theme episode data for programming stunts; screen selected episodes as needed; Coordinate with internal departments for accuracy of programming-related materials; General departmental liaison for scheduling information; Administrative support (phones and calendars/travel/expense reports, etc.) for VP; Perform administrative tasks for other Programming department members when needed; Special projects as assigned.
Education Qualifications:
Required Minimum: Bachelor's Degree Required
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• 1-2 years television industry experience required in Programming or related experience in Research, Standards, Marketing, Sales Operations, Media Planning/Promo Scheduling, or Interactive/New Media.

• Must be very adept on all MS Office software and have solid experience with database applications
• Very comfortable with heavy internet/website research. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, and ability to meet deadlines, and a positive, upbeat attitude
• Be a genuine team player, willing to listen and learn and express eagerness to contribute freely to the network's success.
• Experience with SIMS or other scheduling database a plus, but not required.
