Position: Public Relations Internship 2015
Session: Spring or Summer
Type of Internship: School Credit Only
Location: Santa Monica, CA
Interested in a fun and creative internship this summer? Do you like game shows? Do you want to learn more about working for a TV network? Do you have an interest in Public Relations?
GSN's PR department is looking for Spring and Summer interns. You will learn the role that the PR Department has in a TV Network. You will gain a greater understanding of how the Publicity dept. at a network operates, including how we interact with the media and with internal groups to help support programming initiatives.
Interns will have an opportunity to learn about writing and editing press releases and bios including editing pitches, mail-merging, press lists, understanding how to create a publicity strategy, learning about tracking and measure results (press clippings), understanding the importance of organization and cover press junkets, and maybe even visit the set of TV shows and observe the PR process! Interns will have an opportunity to sit in on publicity and marketing meetings, and possibly meetings with producers and/or talent, when appropriate. Interns will interact with staff at all levels in the company.
We are flexible with your schedule and want you to have a great learning experience; we encourage our interns to learn as much about our business as they can. Most of our executives are interested in giving their time and sharing their experiences to help you gain the most out of your internship.
Requirements: All applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or University and be able to show proof of school credit within three business days. Minimum 3 days per week; we are flexible and can work around your schedule. Internship will last approximately three months.
