The primary learning objective for this internship is to provide a well-rounded learning experience in the Programming department to learn how the various entities work with each other to create a unique network identity. Part of these entities includes scheduling & acquisitions, production, development and talent.
Students will be invited to the Programming department meetings, learn about development and pitch meetings and learn about the role of Business & Legal Affairs meetings. Students will be exposed to Marketing, Public Relations and Digital departments.
The learning experience will include learning about research and competitive reporting; learn about the importance of reading trade publications and other periodicals for trends and interesting stories, learning about the talent department in researching potential talent online and assisting with production and scheduling as needed.
Successful interns will be professional, computer savvy, able to multi-task with efficiency, have basic office skills, have excellent communication and organizational skills. All interns must provide proof of school enrollment to be considered for any intern position.
Days: Monday - Friday (Minimum 3 days per week)
Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. various available and flexible schedules
Duration of Internship: September - November (Flexible with various school schedules)
