Position: Public Relations/Digital Marketing Production Internship
Reporting to: PR Executive Director and Digital Production Director
Location: Santa Monica, CA.
About GSN TV's Summer Internship program:
GSN's Summer Internship Program is a 10 week program that runs from June 5th - August 11th. The internships are paid and are full-time.
About this internship:
GSN TV Santa Monica is looking for an intern interested in the PR and Digital Marketing Production world! This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn about Public Relations & all things Digital Marketing including social media and work between two departments!
PR:
Interns will have an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of how the PR department at GSN operates, including how we interact with the media and with internal groups to help support programming initiatives. Interns will also get hands-on experience in some or all of the following: writing and editing press releases and bios, creating a publicity strategy, track and measure results (press clippings), visit the set of TV shows (depending on production schedules) and observe the PR process, and interact with media outlets by phone and email. Additional projects may be added, depending on what else we are involved in. Interns will also have an opportunity to sit in on publicity and marketing meetings, and possibly meetings with producers and/or talent when appropriate.
Digital Marketing Production:
You will have the opportunity to see how an idea is born and comes to life in the ever changing digital world. You will be exposed to a variety of digital channels that include: website, email, CRM, social media & mobile app. How do we measure the effectiveness through data writing? You'll visit sets of TV shows and observe the PR process. You'll interact with media outlets by phone & email and best of all you will learn how to produce cool work that goes through the production life cycle starting from creative development through tech development.
You'll be excited to help coordinate all various moving parts within the team to ensure we successfully launch a campaign. You will also have an opportunity to sit in on publicity and marketing meetings, and possibly meetings with producers and/or talent, when appropriate.
You will be responsible for… (not limited to):
• Helping facilitate administrative, operations, creative & technology trafficking
• Gathering basic data for analytics.
• Supporting the Digital Marketing team by facilitating the process in which projects enter and exit the department.
• Assisting the Creative team by tracking daily workflow, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Maintaining daily communication with all members of the department, in order to keep a steady flow of productivity and quality control.
• Overseeing all asset deliveries with internal and external contacts.
• Trafficking creative, taking notes, creating timelines, coordinating meetings, and tracking data metrics.
• Assisting with editing press releases and bios; creating a publicity strategy; tracking and measuring results of press clippings.

Education Qualifications:
Preferred: An upcoming sophomore, junior or senior student currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program.
