Position: Assistant
Reporting to: Multiple Programming Executives
Location: Los Angeles
GSN Los Angeles is looking for an assistant reporting to multiple executives in our programming department including the VP, Development. This position will also help support our Director, Development as needed as well as assisting with our current department. This position will serve as a department liaison; communicates with internal GSN divisions as well as the external business and creative community including agents, management, talent, producers and production companies. General administrative duties to include but not limited to:
• Answering phones
• Scheduling
• Calendar management
• Processing expenses
• Copying and faxing
• Filing
• Planning all travel arrangements
• Coordinating prep materials for meetings
• Attending pitches and visit set on request and maintain a general awareness of industry trends, formats, talent and the competitive environment
You must have…
• The ability to embody our culture of being collaborative, a self-starter, competitive, passionate, bold, distinctive, innovative, creative and able to have fun!
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
• Sincere interest in pop culture, game shows, reality TV and learning about the entire TV development and production process from development through production and post through series.
• The desire to grow your career in programming and/or talent and casting
• Tech savvy skills
• Self-starter ambition
• Strong team-orientation skills
Education Qualifications:
Required Minimum: BA degree
Experience Qualifications:
Required Minimum: 1-2 years
