In search of an amazingly talented after effects design expert to work on a daily talk show in the same vein as John Stewart or The Colbert Report. We need a designer who is creative and also has a sense of humor. This person would excel in photographic collage animation art and also be able to create off the wall Monty Python style graphics. Must have an eye for composition and text layouts. Can you take still images of a dog and make it talk? We need to see plenty examples on your reel.
Potential candidates must have extensive knowledge of television graphic production, work well under pressure in a fast-pasted environment and ALSO have great organizational skills. The ideal candidates will be team player who can work within a design format and take a concept or idea and turn it into a visual in a couple of hours?
The candidate will design, develop and produce high quality graphics and animation concepts. Create unique visual images and effective designs or communicate a message according to the needs of each project with an emphasis on quality and speed. The designer will be expected to gather, interpret and correlate project information/goals from producers, managers, AD, and technical staff to fully understand the project and create effective graphic designs.
NO EDITORS PLEASE! Although you are wonderfully talented individuals that particular skillset is not needed for this position.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- College degree preferred.
- Proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator - Cinema 4D is a plus
- Must have extensive knowledge of TV GFX and Studio Production
- Must have a strong design background
- Must be a creative self-starter
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines and make adjustments to meet unplanned changes.
- Ability to handle multiple projects is also required
- A minimum of 2 years of on air broadcast design experience
