Director of Finance

We are looking for a motivated and exceptionally bright individual to oversee all aspects of accounting and finance functions for a high growth digital media company. The ideal candidate will be high-achiever who seeks the opportunity to grow with an exciting and fast-moving start-up.

Job Description:
Responsible for all company accounting/ bookkeeping
Oversee monthly talent revenue share reconciliation and payment
Oversee payroll, purchasing and travel expenses
Build and manage the accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure efficiency
Partner with the business heads to develop and manage accurate budgets and forecasts
Responsible for preparing and evaluating monthly estimates and the annual budget, including revenues and expenses
Provide monthly updates on current quarter and year end outlook along with an assessment of risks & opportunities
Prepare financials reports for investors and board presentations
Work on the detailed development of the long-range plan
Review and approve monthly closing entries along with cash and balance sheet reconciliations
Review and approve revenue accruals and suggest ways to improve current revenue models
Review potential deals and advise on appropriate accounting treatment
Develop reports and analysis that will enhance management decision-making
Provide overall operational and financial support

Job Requirements:
3-5 years finance/accounting experience
Past experience with Quickbooks online and familiar with Google apps
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and/or MBA
Proven strong financial and analytical skills, written and oral communications
Exceptional financial modelling capabilities
Independent thinker/ Self-starter/ Daily executor with eye on the big picture
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders including: talent partners, development team and senior management
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Strong technical skills, especially Excel
