CREATIVE PLANNER
The position is in LA.
3+ years' experience in a strategic planning role.
Comfortable leading concept development & ideation from development through delivery.
Planner w/ design aesthetic and/or writing skills ideally.
A curious nature with a genuine passion for learning and discovery.
Digital, social media and emerging platforms experience is needed.
Music & entertainment passion is a must.
POSITION SUMMARY
FRUKT, the music & entertainment arm of Octagon, seeks an entrepreneurial Creative Planner who can help lead the agency's North American strategic efforts to deliver breakthrough strategic platforms, creative concepts and innovative integrated ideas that leverage consumer brands through music and entertainment-focused channels. The primary responsibility of this position is to drive the strategic and creative process with existing clients and new prospects through developing, cultivating and ultimately harvesting the key insights, strategies and idea development that will deliver outstanding integrated campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Will report directly to head of Creative Strategy and work as key supporting team member in research and development of materials for strategic perspectives, creative concepts, engagement mechanics, live event activations and platforms for existing clients and new business opportunities
Contribute to the content and design of ideas and presentations
Partner with account teams to serve as a strategic and creative resource to support them in their efforts to better serve their clients
Use existing internal design/creative resources and cultivate freelance and partner agency resources for specific design and A/V requirements
Maintain weekly Hot List including industry (ad, music, film), musicians, culture, trends, etc… and track all updates to share with management team
Track, record and share successful, brand-building work from FRUKT as well as strong case studies across industries
Create and maintain content for FRUKT LA presence across social media channels
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in related field
3+ years' of experience in a strategic planning role (ideally focused on consumer lifestyle brands)
Demonstrated success in leading concept development and ideation from developing insights through presentation and delivery
Integrated and innovative experience a must, specifically in developing live and digital content and experiences that generate PR/Buzz
Ability to develop and create using a media neutral perspective
Experience developing high profile cultural music & entertainment platforms for brands
Agency experience including a solid understanding of workflow dynamics
Strong organizational and time management skills: ability to work at a senior level on multiple projects simultaneously that are deadline sensitive
Ability to collaborate across disciplines, departments and client's additional agency partners
Excellent writing and communications skills
Understands the importance of teamwork with the willingness and eagerness to collaborate across departments and disciplines
Self-starter, will take initiative with new projects
Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects and brand initiatives simultaneously
