Part Time Unpaid Internship
Thank you for applying for the FremantleMedia North America Intern Program for Fall 2013. The program is designed to provide an in-depth exposure to professional television production. The FMNA Production Department offers a versatile and unique opportunity to experience the television industry from the inside out, ideal for the student interested in pursuing a career in television production. The internship will provide students an opportunity to get involved with the daily operations of a large production entity and is designed to give qualified, full-time students in depth exposure to professional television production, techniques, and practices.
Internship Duties:
- Aiding in general production responsibilities
- Determine 1 or 2 projects to complete by internship end, directly associated with students interest and the department.
- Attend and assist productions, as opportunity arises.
- Provide support for a variety of diverse projects that will provide exposure to the entire gamut of TV production.
- Make phone calls, as requested.
- Perform some administrative tasks
Professional Goals for Internship:
- Learn budgeting and Fremantle Media company structure
- Gain a better understanding of the logistic side of producing
- Be exposed to the different levels of producing
- Be exposed to the different styles of producing
- Be exposed to a diversity of production ( types of projects)
- Be a better creative producer ( exposure to development)
- Have a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of other crew members.
- Establish relationships and a network in LA
Requirements:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled and in good standing in a college or university
(Documentation will be required)
- Applicants should be available to work 20-30 hours a week
- Applicants should be eligible to receive credit ( this is a non-paid position)
- Must be proficient in MS Office and Internet Research
- Previous production experience a plus
- Must be able to work well under pressure
- Highly motivated
- Strong interest in television production
- Strong organizational and research skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and work independently
- Ability to adapt from project to project
- Wiling to take on all aspects of the job with enthusiasm and a positive attitude
