Based in Burbank, California, FMNA currently produces some of the most innovative and highest-rated entertainment on television, including the Emmy-nominated musical/reality phenomenon ''American Idol'' (FOX), ''America's Got Talent'' (NBC), ''The X Factor (NBC), ''Family Feud'' (syndicated), and the longest-running game show in television history, ''The Price Is Right'' (CBS).
FremantleMedia North America (FMNA) is currently looking for a full-time, professional and experienced Publicity Manager to join our team. This position reports directly into the SVP of Communications.
Responsibilities
• Draft publicity and marketing materials including writing press releases, bios, overseeing design, and commissioning photos under direction of SVP Communications
• Communicate and deliver press materials and approvals between productions and partners
• Develop consumer publicity strategy for slate of shows in line with network efforts
• Oversee day-to-day management of agencies across format shows
• Work closely with SVP Communications & Marketing to ensure show and project publicity is in line with corporate strategy
• Event and talent management
• Participate in consumer and industry press activities for ancillary businesses including licensing, digital, live events, sales and acquisitions
Qualifications & Experience
• Candidate should have 4-6 years of experience in television publicity working on scripted and unscripted programs
• Candidate should have experience working with networks, studios and digital partners
• Experience with consumer and digital products is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field. Master's degree a plus
• Must have the initiative and ability to manage own projects and work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in managing agencies and outside partners
• Experience with sensitive and controversial issues; ability to effectively manage crisis situations
• Strong experience with social media management as part of comprehensive publicity campaigns
