Search for Programming Coordinator jobs in Burbank-CA
Job Description - Reporting jointly to the Vice President of Programming & Operation as well as the Manager of Programming & Traffic, the Coordinator will work closely on the creation of the program schedule, promo rotations as well as the final logs. The position will also be a key liaison with the playout and uplink vendor, ensuring consistent and proper output of the Buzzr network signal and escalating issues to the VP, as necessary.
Responsibilities
• Create and import metadata for programming software
• Update and QC metadata manually, when necessary
• Work with editing team to secure and import segment times
• Assist Traffic team with promo rotations and insertion
• Liaise with external vendors to secure and ingest programming, promo, and interstitial material
• Interact with channel operations facility to ensure proper playout
• Work with Music Department on ASCAP/BMI reports
• Deliver Electronic Program Guide data to listings vendors
• Work with the Manager, Programming & Traffic on log creation/finalization
• View new episodes to determine editing formats or Standards & Practices issues as needed
• Research FMNA game show library for additional information to create branding and interstitial promos
• Participate in weekly programming meetings to discuss upcoming schedule, stunts and OAP activity
• Special projects as assigned
Requirements
• 2+ years of relevant experience either at broadcast station, cable network, diginet or ad trafficking
• College degree in a relevant field a plus
• Experience with database or sales tracking software
• Knowledge of Wide Orbit, SIMS, VCI, Harris BroadView or similar software a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills and a sense of urgency
• Ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities
• Must be highly collegial and willing to collaborate with multiple departments
• A self-starter with a ''roll-up-your-sleeves''/entrepreneurial mentality
• Love of TV and game shows, both past and present
