Job Description - The Production Legal Coordinator manages all paperwork and background checks for various reality television programming to ensure all contestants are cleared to participate. Candidates will need to be able to multi-task a high volume of emails, calls and paperwork. Must be comfortable talking with talent, agents, managers, outside counsel, executive producers or associate producers. Coordinate other various responsibilities based on department needs.
Responsibilities
• Collect, analyze and distribute contestant paperwork to appropriate parties.
• Supervise at least one (1) PA.
• Work with outside risk management company on all background checks and advise production attorney of any issues; solve all issues to best of your ability.
• Analyze and distribute any entertainment contract issues contestants may have. Work with production attorney to resolves any issues that arise.
• Advise production of any issues that would prevent a contestant from moving forward.
• Track all contestant information and issues on Excel spreadsheet; process reports as requested by executives.
• Conform documents in Adobe EchoSign.
• Coordinate any Americans with Disabilities Act requests or complaints.
• Perform trademarks searches based on requests from production using SAEGIS.
• Use CT Corp to accept all Service of Process.
• Complete all necessary paperwork for guilds and unions for all productions.
Requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience with Adobe EchoSign
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
• Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Ability to work independently
• Notary Public is a plus
