Senior Resource Scheduler (Fox Sports West – Los Angeles, CA)
This position is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager & Director of Operations in coordinating facilities, crews and remote trucks for live events. Duties include conducting site surveys; arranging equipment rentals; coordinating equipment shipping; submitting credential lists for non-pro product; booking transmission for all live events and tape feeds; coding and tracking invoices; coordinating frequencies for RF audio gear used on live remotes; installing phone lines and Internet for all venues; and maintaining relationships with team, conference and school partners to ensure their needs are met in association with the region's broadcasts.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinates events (communicates with mobile truck vendors, crewers, facilities, broadcast partners and production personnel; arranges rentals; books transmission; installs phones & internet.)
• Acts as the daily office contact for Producers, Directors and Talent working at remote sites.
• Serves as on-site Technical Manager for live events when needed.
• Assists in preparing costs for budgets, as well as tracking expenditures.
• Interfaces with other regions regarding sharing equipment and personnel.
• Acts as a liaison with team partners.
• Organizes equipment sharing, and facility coordination.
Qualifications:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalency.
A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Broadcasting or Radio/TV/Film is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years experience in live event and/or news production and technical operations is necessary.
Experience with production budgets.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good organizational and project coordination skills are needed.
The ability to work under pressure with limited supervision is required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is needed.
Familiarity with studio production and remote production facilities is necessary.
