Production Coordinator (Fox Networks Group, Fox Sports Regional Networks – Los Angeles, 90064)
Worker must have developed skills in coordinating the building blocks that go into the organization and support of nationally managed sports broadcasts and supporting projects. This requires an experienced production worker who can recognize the needs of a project or broadcast, coordinate in concert with the executive in-charge, and when necessary, work independently in completing outlined tasks while serving as a departmental liaison to other workers assigned to the project or broadcast. Worker is not an entry level employee without prior experience; therefore, introductory development is complete and the worker is proficient in most, if not all aspects of his/her day-to-day roles in the Production Department.
Responsibilities
• Coordinating the support for the Fox Sports Networks Production Department and Fox Sports Networks Regional offices and personnel for all nationally based projects. Managing the travel, expenses, and production books for collegiate events. Coordinates the on-site installation of regional pre and post-game sets and stages.
• Coordination of production elements that the department is involved in (events, timelines, schedules, personnel and crew working the events, equipment, graphics, sales/promo initiatives, etc.) Manages distribution of elements to regional productions departments.
• College football, basketball and other collegiate sports coordination: maintain a master schedule; prepare & distribute a Production Packet; book travel, monitor travel costs and distribute travel information; manage all DVD requests; set up production and team conference calls; ensure producers have all items/elements needed: graphics, music, premiums, drives, tapes, DVDs, elements, etc.; crew various Freelance positions. Acts as main contact for production teams and manages their requests.
• Work with VP's of production to integrate components the department is involved in (events, timelines, schedules, personnel and crew working the events, equipment, graphics, sales/promo initiatives, etc.)
• Operational involvement: prepare Operation Packets/Tech Books, coordinate Operational aspects for various events (college football, college basketball, special events, features & special projects). Manage and coordinate the communication and distribution of video elements such as features, teases, vignettes, various supporting video clips, etc.
• Features & Special Projects: Coordinate and distribute planning, production and travel information to all involved in project; create and distribute production manuals; manage and secure all payments, releases and licensing for any locations, photos or footage used; help coordinate interviews, secure locations to shoot interviews, etc.
• Code, submit and track invoices; order office supplies; coordinate UPS shipments; submit and process expense reports. Originate and maintain contact documents, schedules when necessary.
• Coordinate various aspects of host position staging for all regions (desks, banners/backdrops, signage and staging).
• Interact with regional Executives, Producers, Directors and Talent to answer questions and assist with production issues.
• Work on remote sites when needed. Requires travel to other markets with in FSN.
• Occasionally administer payroll for Freelancers.
Qualifications:
• Two years' television production experience required.
• College degree preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized. Must be self-starter and highly motivated. Strong interests in television sports production and field operations. Proficient in social media (i.e. Twitter and Facebook)
• Frequently required use of hands and fingers to write, manipulate telephone and computer keyboard. Regularly required to hear, talk and use close vision.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license, willingness to fly to remote production locations.
