Under the direction of the Executive Director Entertainment Post Production, the Supervisor will be responsible for providing supervision to represented operations personnel required for the creation of promotional material and quality control of broadcast assets. In addition the supervisor will be involved with FOX NE&O Senior Management in the supervision of the organization's goals and objectives, as well to ensure that technologies are being fully leveraged across the enterprise for optimal effectiveness and value.
The Fox Networks Engineering and Operations Group (NE&O) is the group that is singularly responsible for the receipt, uplink, delivery and distribution of all networks wholly or partially owned by FOX, Inc. NE&O is a 24/7 mission critical operation which supports business units in seven distinct locations – three (3) in Los Angeles, California (Pico, Playa del Rey and 1440 Sepulveda); one (1) in The Woodlands, TX; one (1) in San Francisco, CA; one in Charlotte, NC; and one (1) in New York, NY. Overall, NE&O has over 1000 full-time equivalent employees. Candidates who seek employment with NE&O must be available to work 24/7.
Responsibilities
• Supervise and advise represented editors, media operators, and graphic artists used in the creation of promo material. Escalate as required to resolve any technical or personnel issues.
• Act as liaison between Fox NE&O and its clients to address technical and personnel concerns.
• Implement all policies and procedures of Fox NE&O Operations including the generation of reports to the department and its clients.
• Report technical issues to engineering and provide solutions to ensure client deadlines can be achieved.
• Supervise vendor and manufacturer participation and resources in the resolution of technical issues.
• Provide feedback to Scheduling department to ensure employees scheduled match workload.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 year college degree. Two plus years of experience in a post-production or broadcast facility. One year minimum supervisory experience.
• Communicate and write in English. Provide sound reasoning and guidance in a cordial and professional manner. Professionally represent the company's interests with internal and external resources.
• Provide sound reasoning, evaluation, and resolution in the resolution of technical and personnel issues.
• MS Word/Excel/Outlook Graphics or Non-Linear editing experience.
• Experience in networks, NAS, and network troubleshooting.
