Senior Media Coordinator is responsible for communications between Fox NE&O Operations, Programming, FX Networks, and production companies for the oversight of the programming workflow and delivery. Works with QC Operators to prioritize their workload in addition to confirming reports, create and distribute final timing sheets, perform prompt follow when required. Meet tight deadlines and be proactive in anticipating changes and problem solving with minimum supervision. Interact on the behalf of NE&O with internal and external clients to coordinate and facilitate the receipt, prioritization of work, and distribution of information about media assets. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint software to perform daily administrative duties, which comprises of answering phones, coordinate and track the receipt and delivery of media assets, updating programming schedules and databases and retain records. Performs role as a coordinating liaison between departments within FX Networks (Programming, Scheduling, Standards and Practices) and external clients to secure and disseminate accurate information, provide guidance on procedural processes and provide status reports on the processing of media assets.
The Fox Networks Engineering and Operations Group (NE&O) is the group that is singularly responsible for the receipt, uplink, delivery and distribution of all networks wholly or partially owned by FOX, Inc. NE&O is a 24/7 mission critical operation which supports business units in seven distinct locations – three (3) in Los Angeles, California (Pico, Playa del Rey and 1440 Sepulveda); one (1) in The Woodlands, TX; one (1) in San Francisco, CA; one in Charlotte, NC; and one (1) in New York, NY. Overall, NE&O has over 1000 full-time equivalent employees. Candidates who seek employment with NE&O must be available to work 24/7.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the workflow for Fox NE&O cable network partners for the delivery, QC, and distribution of program media. Include, ensure all delivery dates are met, and communicate daily with the cable network clients and productions companies regarding show delivery, QC reports, and show timings. Communicate discrepancies with traffic codes, standards and practices related content, and segment timings with appropriate parties.
• General administrative duties including answering phones, coordinate and track the receipt and delivery of media assets, updating programming schedules and databases.
• Liaison with departments within FX Networks (Programming, Scheduling, Standards and Practices) to support department functions.
• Communicate with programming, studios, and production companies to establish media asset preparation and delivery costs. Generate purchase orders and submit to third party vendors, track costs, forecast incoming workload.
• Prioritize and delegate workload of QC Operators and Media Operators.
Qualifications:
• College degree preferred. Two years of experience in a business environment, preferably in television production/post-production. Excellent computer skills and solid understanding of the entertainment industry.
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent phone skills. Needs to have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with all levels of people including management, co-workers and daily hires.
• Must be able to calculate hours, shifts and costs related to material, delivery and preparation of media content.
• Computer literacy required. Knowledge of ScheduALL, Microsoft Office Applications.
• Detail oriented, prioritization, and organizational skills are critical. Ability to function in a dynamic environment and work independently. Relates well to all kinds of people and uses diplomacy and tact.
