Home Team Sports (HTS) is currently looking for a Sales Operations Manager & Executive Deputy to join its team in Playa Vista, CA. An analytical, energetic and motivated team-player, the Sales Operations Manager will contribute to overall sales productivity by providing analytical and operational support for HTS management in the administration of sales strategies designed to improve current practices and systems workflow optimization. The Manager will also be responsible for new hire onboarding and training, daily management of operations projects, and assisting with administrative and special projects as assigned by the President, and SVP of Business Operations.
The successful candidate must efficiently and expeditiously perform a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to supporting the President and SVP with the daily management of the Los Angeles office at-large; acting as a point of contact for other HTS offices, regional partners, and FOX Sports corporate headquarters in LA. The Manager must quickly analyze situations and information and continuously devote close attention to detail to a variety of projects and assignments, and will be expected to work with minimal guidance in establishing priorities to perform work quickly, accurately and effectively under deadline pressures. The Manager role requires the combination of excellent communication and analytical skills, along with the ability to prioritize and manage all inbound and outbound operational challenges as they pertain to the continued success of Home Team Sports.
Responsibilities:
• Provide senior HTS management with account-based intelligence, sales prospecting, revenue projections, data mining and BI analysis. Assist with publishing Bi-weekly RSN revenue forecasts from Forecaster. Duties include report creation, BI cube creation, reconciliation of reports & BI Cubes.
• Manage projects for current systems upgrades, new systems implementations, perform data maintenance, security/ profile, permissions & rights management of eight existing systems. Support Directors of Operations in measuring the day-to-day operational use and efficiency through KPIs of the existing systems (Wide Orbit Rep & Portal, Forecaster, Strata posting, Pipeline Manager, HTS Prospector, etc.) to insure the continued flow of revenue into HTS.
• On-site coordination of 3rd party vendors, operations temps and departmental interns in accomplishing HTS goals and guidelines under supervision of SVP and Directors of Business Operations.
• Consistently communicate with internal end users to review business processes, identify challenges, develop recommendations for solutions and define requirements for enhancing current or developing new business rules.
• Perform data maintenance, security/ profile entry, permissions and rights administration, gatekeeper roles for database management for all eight existing and all upcoming new systems. Support Finance through Wide Orbit customer profile set up and credit evaluation process of new agencies and advertisers. Assist with CIA process with AEs, RSNs, and Finance.
• Provide back-up executive and administrative assistance to President, including arrangement and coordination of all physical and virtual meetings based upon current project workflows and directives. May include: site access for vendors, clients, and/or scheduling conference calls or WebEx demos, making travel arrangements and expense reconciliation.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business or related business experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations or sales support functions, specifically in TV sales processes, planning, presenting, and technical fulfillment of booked revenue. Familiarity with IT &Traffic systems, Sales support software and CRM platforms is preferred.
• Good verbal, written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, as well as good interpersonal skills are required.
• Creative problem-solver. Ability to manage multiple projects and exhibit leadership skills and strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Outlook and Explorer is necessary. Knowledge of system design concepts, user-flow diagrams, Sales order entry systems, posting software, and forecasting software.
• Strong organization, project management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines and changing needs.
• Must have client relationship skills, excellent attention to detail and be a consummate Team Player.
