This position is responsible for managing department print and premium projects from concept to completion. Duties include meeting with internal clients to establish project parameters, production timeframe, and budget; communicating parameters to the design and production team; presenting the resulting concepts to the internal clients, process approvals; assigning vendors, overseeing fulfillment and tracking the budget and costs.
Responsibilities
• Manages department print and premium projects from concept to completion within designated deadlines.
• Meets with internal clients to establish project parameters, timeframe and budget.
• Conceptualizes and produces printed marketing materials and premiums, including launch kits, radio promotion prizing, sales collateral material, DVD's; event invitations, event hospitality gift bags; and event décor.
• Communicates the parameters to the design and production team.
• Presents the resulting concepts to internal clients; assigns vendors, sources premiums; and oversees fulfillment and shipping.
• Manages project trafficking as was well as overseeing the time and efforts of print production staff.
• Supervises the print production staff and their assigned projects, and ensures all projects are delivered on time and fulfilled per direction.
• Sources print and merchandise product.
• Researches material resources and new vendors for projects via internet, catalogs, and other resources.
• Obtains competitive estimates from vendors and locates the best product available.
• Develops, manages and executes Print department budgets.
• Assesses past and future needs and costs of projects through research and meetings with internal clients.
• Produces written budgets and recaps.
• Develops cost-effective strategies and solutions for maximum effectiveness and marketing impact.
Qualifications:
• This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Marketing,
• Communication, Graphic Design or commensurate experience.
• A minimum of 3-4 years entertainment-oriented print and premium production and/or account executive experience is necessary.
• Previous experience in art direction is preferred.
• Agency background is a plus.
• Superior oral and written communication skills are needed.
• Some financial background is a plus.
• Maturity to handle other departments budgets with respect to the project.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel is required. Proficiency in MAC systems and applications, including In Design, Photoshop and Illustrator is preferred.
• Good organizational and project management skills are required.
• Proven supervisory and leadership skills are required.
• The ability to work evenings and weekends is needed.
• A demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment is essential.
