The site empowers viewers to impact programming through interactive features, live online digital events, and user generated content. Beyond FXNetworks.com, FX supports a larger digital ecosystem that includes social networking platforms, content partnerships, content for handheld and tablet computers, connected experiences supporting authentication, and emerging consumer focused technologies.
The Producer, Digital Content plays a key role on the digital content team, working on a wide array of experiences that the team is charged with creating and maintaining. The Producer will work in a multi-faceted environment able to concept, project manage, and deliver highly engaging interactive content experiences to consumers. This role will oversee assigned projects that support FX original and acquired programming including weekly programing priorities, interactive experiences, written content, email programs, and digital events. The candidate must be able to work quickly in collaboration with other members of the digital content team, show a high level of creativity, and be able to problem solve and innovate in the digital space.
Responsibilities:
• Content development – Project-manage the creation and launch of assigned FX content on FXNetworks.com content, partner sites and devices working with internal teams, development vendors, and other FNG departments
• Post-launch content maintenance and QA – Producer works with the VP, Digital and Social Content on post-launch maintenance and QA of assigned content launched on the core site FXNetworks.com, partner sites, and devices including iOS, Android, and other emerging platforms
• Development and QA of weekly promotional priorities for assigned content as required
• Resource gathering, including sourcing required elements for production from internal departments, vendors, and production teams as required
• Working with VP, execute development of specialty sites supporting network events
• Create original written content for FXNetworks.com
• Develop content for FX email marketing programs
• Track and provide status of assigned projects to VP to ensure launch by prescribed deadlines, escalate any production or technology issues as required
Qualifications:
• College degree required, preferably with a Marketing focus
• Minimum 3 years of previous experience in a variety of entertainment, youth, and traditional and digital media related positions required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
• Must have strong writing skills and creative instincts
• Must be able to interact and communicate with a wide variety of personalities
• Must possess professionalism and confidence when dealing with show producers and talent via phone or in-person
• Must be autonomous and decisive, able to work under tight deadlines, prioritize assignments, work in a very fast-paced environment, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must be able to work collaboratively with other team members and be able to problem solve and innovate in the digital space
