News Director/Executive Producer (Fox Deportes – Mexico City, Mexico)
Fox Deportes is seeking an News Director/Executive Producer with exceptional management and creative skills to oversee the production of Sports News/Talk content for the network. This role will be based in Mexico City, Mexico.
Responsibilities
• Reporting directly to the VP of Production of Fox Deportes in the U.S., this critical role will oversee all Sports News/Talk budgets, content, on-air talent, on-air presentation, studio show and remote location execution out of Mexico.
• Manage team of Sports News/Talk Studio Show Producers, On-Air Talent, Assignment Desk, Writers, Graphic Artist, and Technical Director.
• Work closely with Fox Deportes Management and U.S. Production team to establish strategy and expectations for day to day operations.
• Coordinate with Mexico and US Production teams, as well as Sports News/Talk content providers and partners in producing the highest quality content within budgetary parameters.
• Develop staff and systems to produce cutting edge News/Talk content from news stories, lifestyle and other Sports related information.
• Coordinate with Online Team to direct content flow between TV and Online.
• Support and serve as back-up for the U.S. Production department.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years of live TV Sports News/Talk-magazine studio show production experience, including roles as Producer, Executive Producer or News Director.
• Complete knowledge of TV control room management, video editing and graphics, news writing, on-air talent presentation and management, cameras, lighting, etc.
• Sports and U.S. Latino market background and experience are required.
• Must be able to travel internationally with primary destinations including Los Angeles and Miami as well as other countries to help coordinate sports news/talk show studio show content and production partnerships with Newscorp and third party partners, as well as coordinate sports news/talk studio show remote events.
• BA/BS highly preferred.
• Position will be based in Mexico City, Mexico
• Must have excellent language skills with fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
