The Fox Networks Group Business & Legal Affairs department is seeking a Legal Assistant to provide administrative support. This position assists with the preparation of legal documents and redlines drafts routine letters and other correspondence, maintains and administers legal contract filing system.
Responsibilities
• Provides administrative support by answering phones, creating correspondence, facilitating the execution of legal agreements and assists in distribution of agreements/documentation to executives on a regular basis.
• Schedules meetings and conference calls, creates meeting agendas and circulates meeting materials, books/confirms travel, manages expense reports, and arranges mail, messenger and UPS/ FedEx packages.
• Assists with preparation of legal documents and redlines, drafts routine letters and other correspondence, and reviews and edits prepared documents for accuracy.
• Updates contract binders, photocopying documents and distribution to various clients. Accurately maintains and administers contract filing system and assisting with tracking dates.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
• Minimum 2-3 years administrative experience required. Prior legal department assistant strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is required. Experience with Adobe Acrobat, DeltaView and Accutrac is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are a must, along with superior grammar, editing and proofing skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented with the ability to independently prioritize work and handle multiple tasks with set deadlines.
• Client-service orientation, with a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is essential.
