Fox Television Group's New Media Strategy and Brand Management department seeks an intern with a passion for broadcast and cable television to join our team and help us develop long term strategic plans to drive revenue growth. The internship will give hands-on experience managing FTG's extensive content library, and developing strategies to take FTG into its increasingly digital-focused future.
Department Description
Fox Television Group's New Media Strategy and Brand Management department is responsible for analyzing Network and Studio business performance, and developing and operationalizing both short and long term strategies for FTG. Our core focus is developing long term strategic plans to drive revenue growth across digital platforms, with an emphasis on distribution deals, driving viewership growth, and coordinating cross-departmental monetization exercises.
Intern Job Duties
• Performing ad-hoc analysis on both Network and Studio business including: linear and digital viewership, digital monetization, subscriber growth, SVOD licensing agreements and proposals, new platform development and broad market trends.
• Assist with the development of forward looking models to forecast the impact of various strategic decisions ranging from new rights acquisitions, to monetization policy adjustments to proposed 3rd party SVOD licensing deals.
• Create presentation decks for disseminating information to Network and Studio leadership.
• Perform data QA across the New Media Strategy and Brand Management suite of reporting apps and systems.
Learning Objectives
• The intern will receive a broad education about everything that goes into strategically managing a network television and studio business.
Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a top tier university. Ideal majors are Business Administration or Finance.
• Must have superior verbal and written communications skills, particularly, the ability to develop cogent arguments and present them concisely to a range of stakeholders, especially executives.
• Strong analysis and data modelling skills, and the ability to combine a broad range of factors into models.
To participate in Fox's Internship program you must meet the following criteria:
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and be sophomore status or above.
• Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the Company.
• Housing is not provided, so please have a housing option guaranteed before applying.
