Full Time Unpaid Internship

The Brand Oversight intern for Franchise Management will have a unique opportunity to explore iconic titles within the 20th Century Fox cinematic portfolio. The intern will document story elements of Fox's franchise films in order to help facilitate further brand exploration, inspire future content and product activations and maintain accurate story archives. Additionally, the intern will support the Brand Oversight and Brand Strategy teams on asset requests/distribution, material creation, and social activations.
Franchise Brand Research
• Research and document key production and story elements regarding each film and content extensions for a given franchise.
• Characters, story and plot-lines
• Cast, crew and other notable stakeholders
• Box office numbers, DVD/EST sales, game downloads, etc.
• Key themes and brand attributes
• Creative asset tracking and cataloguing
Brand Strategy Research
• Research and document key elements regarding competitive franchises
• Support development of key competitive franchises studies including mapping key touchpoints, researching story and products, and gathering performance data where feasible
• Compiling key takeaways and best practice learnings
• Includes both full historical franchise mapping and learnings but also the creation of future franchise mapping researching key announcements or product launches scheduled in the future
• Research associated with brand strategy /business plan development as needed
• Competitive Franchise Newsletter
• Aid in the development of a franchise newsletter that tracks key competitive franchises for new product development announcements
• Research and document for each franchise and create processes such as news alerts for ongoing tracking on key news, social channels and trade show
• Franchise Guide development
• Film asset gathering and selection for brand guides
• Route assets and guide drafts for legal and other approvals
Marketing Material Creation and Management
• Materials management and trafficking
• Create, manage and distribute highly-confidential marketing materials cross-divisionally
• Help ideate cross-divisional activations and opportunities around key film releases
Admin Support
• Provide back-up administrative support to the VPs including phones
• Coordinate multi-divisional meetings
• Organize department files
Qualifications:
• Interest in Fandoms, video games, comics/graphic novels, and science-fiction, thriller, suspense or horror media genres is highly encouraged
• Knowledge of popular UGC platforms (DeviantArt, WattPad, etc.)
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Keynote, Adobe Photoshop, Prezi (or similar program), and popular Social Media platforms
• Possess strong reading comprehension and excellent written communications
• Keen interest in film and storytelling
• Ability to think both analytically and creatively
• Highly detail oriented, proactive, self-motivated, and able to prioritize/maintain multiple projects at once
To participate in Fox's Internship program you must meet the following criteria:
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and be sophomore status or above.
• Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the Company.
