FOX Sports Detroit is searching for an Executive Assistant to join their team. This Executive Assistant provides administrative support to the Senior Vice President/General Manager of FOX Sports Detroit. The incumbent must efficiently and expeditiously perform a wide range of tasks including: supporting the SVP/GM with the daily management of the Detroit office; acting as point of contact for other regions and FOX Sports corporate office in LA; administrator for office inventory, business maintenance systems and ticket management system, including but not limited to monitoring the SVP/GM's calendar, drafting and editing correspondence, processing mail, copying and filing, and coordinating travel plans. This position also works closely with the Programming department, acting as a Programming Coordinator. Candidates must be able to quickly analyze situations and information and devote close attention to detail. Additionally, candidates must have the capability to work with minimal guidance and establish priorities to perform quickly, accurately, and effectively under pressure of deadlines and additional unexpected tasks. This role involves problem-solving, reassessment of situations, a high frequency of follow-up and good judgment in order to anticipate SVP/GM's needs. Also, the role requires extensive interaction with teams, clients, internal executives and colleagues – as such a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion is therefore required.
Responsibilities
• Support SVP/GM as they strive to meet all long term and short term goals for region by providing all administrative tasks and office management
• Support Program Director to ensure that network programming is prepared and communicated to all stakeholders well in advance and can deal with in-the-moment contingencies
• Assist in managing media company for optimum efficiency
• Administrator for office vendors, sites and ticket management system
Qualifications:
• A 4 year degree is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as an accomplished administrative assistant is necessary
• Background in sports and/or media industry is a PLUS but not required
• Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Intermediate to advanced level understanding of digital images (how to open, view, customize and print)
• Database management skills needed
• Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize work assignments
• Professional in both demeanor and appearance
• Discretion in the performance of duties of a highly confidential nature
• Talent for performing multiple tasks simultaneously, quickly and accurately under pressure
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Project management and time management skills needed; extreme attention to detail
