Full Time Job
This position supports the Worldwide Theatrical Marketing Team and reports directly to the EVP of Domestic Theatrical Marketing.
This position interfaces directly with all worldwide marketing departments such as Corporate Communications, Distribution, Finance, Creative Advertising, Creative Content, Digital Marketing, Digital Publicity, In-Theatre Marketing, Media, Media Promotions, Publicity, Brand Promotions, Research, Strategy, as well as other Fox divisions including Enterprise Media Framework, Operations, IT, Production, Home Entertainment, and 3rd party entities.
A key criterion for success in this position is the ability to make critical decisions on an ongoing basis through independent thinking, keen attention to detail and in-depth analysis of strategic marketing information.
General Responsibilities
· Extensive administrative tasks including handling phones, and all general office functions such as printing, filing, schedule management, travel arrangements, expense reports, etc. Anything and everything to keep the office running smoothly!
· Establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with all worldwide marketing departments to maximize access and use of internal strategic and presentation documents.
· Coordinate weekly updates from creative, digital, publicity, in-theatre, media, media promotions, and brand promotions used to publish the Domestic Marketing Calendar (distributed to over 130pp across 13 divisions, including Fox Animation, Content Security, Franchise Management, Home Entertainment, Operations, Post Production, and DreamWorks Animation).
· Prepare templates and collect/organize/update marketing materials for strategy documents, marketing decks, film timelines, as well as print & AV presentations for all titles released by 20th Century Fox, Fox 2000, Fox Animation, New Regency, and DreamWorks Animation.
· Analyze, manage, and research franchise information for active slate and competitive landscape.
· Assist Director of Marketing Strategy on an as-needed basis. We are a team of three so it's imperative that we work collaboratively and supportively.
· Request / circulate new scripts for the domestic theatrical marketing department as they become available.
· Script reading/coverage, as directed.
· Draft written correspondence on behalf of executive when necessary.
· Create and process invoices for finance approval and follow up on payment schedules with vendors as needed.
· Provide coverage for the tech and AV needs in the 88/335 main conference room for designated filmmaker and/or marketing meetings. This position is also a tech coverage backup for every meeting scheduled in 88/335.
· Work with post production, distribution, and studio operations to book on-lot screenings and monitor RSVPs.
Qualifications:
· 2-3 years' experience assisting an executive in the entertainment business (film industry preferred).
· The position requires an individual who is a strategic thinker, motivated, tactful and able to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships on a worldwide basis.
· Time management is extremely important, as this individual will work on multiple departmental documents daily. It is key that this person is able to adeptly shift between projects while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
· All candidates must possess the following skills:
o Top notch organizational skills.
o Ability to perform well under pressure and work at an extremely fast pace.
o Multi-tasking and adapting to changes in priority and/or direction are a must as well as the ability to think ''outside of the box.''
o Very strong written and verbal communications are a must.
o Highly detail oriented. Makes minimal errors in day to day work environment.
o Strong relationship building, analytical, and problem solving skills.
o Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, take direction and identify new opportunities.
o Ability to adapt to a constantly changing work environment with grace under pressure whether it's independently, or in a room with top level executives and filmmakers.
o Excellent attitude. Highly positive and personable. Completely trustworthy.
o Advanced MS Office skills - Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook.
