Full Time Job
As lead of Fox Creative Technology Design's Production arm, this position guides overall design strategy, execution, and workflow across various Fox digital channels, including online banners, social media content, social media pages, and EST artwork. This position creative directs and approves production art built by both internal and external design teams, making sure they are in line with top-level business requirements, technological specifications, and brand guidelines. The position is also responsible for the group's day-to-day operations. This includes building flexible resourcing and workflow models, which allow the group to seamlessly support expanding business needs from various FBC departments, as well as maintaining deep day-to-day relationships with external social and media teams.
Responsibilities
• Working within a styleguide, lead team of internal and external designers create social media micro-content that runs across Fox O&O pages on various platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.
• Posted pieces reach millions of Fox fans; the smarter, more conceptual, and best designed pieces get shared to millions more.
• Working within a styleguide, lead team of internal and external designers to create high-quality paid media ads that run on some of the world's most visited websites, including YouTube, Yahoo, the New York Times, People, Entertainment Weekly, the New York Post, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
• Whether it's on desktop, mobile, or tablet, these online ad units are seen by hundreds of millions of people.
• Create and implement flexible staffing, resourcing, and workflow models that seamlessly support expanding business needs from various Fox departments, including social media, paid media, marketing, print design, on-air design, and creative-technology design teams.
• Allow group to remain fluid and flexible in a rapidly changing digital world, adapting as business needs adapt.
• Liaison between external Fox business owners (product, social media, marketing, multi-platform distribution, synergy, paid media teams, etc), external vendors, and internal design teams.
• Establish communication streams across stakeholders and talent, allowing direction, assets, and knowledge to flow between groups.
Qualifications:
• Education / Experience: Experience leading creative on social media and online advertising; degree in advertising, marketing, business, or communications is preferred (but not required).
• Language / Communication: Extraordinary communication skills; ability to simultaneously communicate with and inspire multiple levels of stakeholders, as well as internal staff.
• Mathematical / Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve operational problems via strategy and communication; ability to solve creative problems via visual design and animation.
• Computer Skills: While the position does not entail heavy hands-on work, deep understanding of creative software (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Cinema4D, etc) and project management software (JIRA, Gnatt charts, Google Drive, Active Collab, Basecamp, etc) will be integral to success.
• Other Skills & Abilities Required: Highly strategic, specifically regarding digital industry; experienced with hands-on design and hands-off leadership; ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously; extraordinary organization skills.
