Digital Video Editor
The Digital Video Editor (Video Editorial) for the NASCAR/Motorsports Channel and @TheBuzzer is responsible for creating and executing video content under the Sr. Video Editor -- NASCAR/Motorsports. Generally channel-specific, the video editor is responsible for seeking out and creating original video content for use on FoxSports.com websites and executing the plan set forth under the content budget for their specific channel each week. Video content production can includes simple edits and repackaging of TV content along with fully custom produced, original editorial content.
Editing Skills: (Ability to) – 2 Years Experience Required
Ingest, organize, and cut footage in narrative and non-narrative environments.
Select and define most effective shots and shot order to form a logical and smoothly running story.
Insert music, dialogue, and sound effects, arrange footage into sequences, and color correct.
Intimate knowledge of a Final Cut Pro and/or Adobe Premiere editing environment for speed and efficiency.
Create and modify multilayer graphics projects.
Knowledge of file formats, including acquisition and compressed formats, and multiple methods to convert between the two.
Strong Writing and Grammar skills – ability to craft short form titles and descriptions for video content.
Production Skills: (Familiarity with)
Operate a variety of cameras, including P2-based and DSLRs.
Light subjects in a variety of settings, including interview setups.
Photography and Photoshop skills preferred.
Film/Video or Communications Degree preferred.
NASCAR Racing - Current and past drivers, in all three series.
General Racing Knowledge - preferably comfortable with MotoGP, Supercross, and Sports Car racing.
Detail oriented with schedules and reporting.
Local to the Charlotte Area preferred.
Part-Time position, 24-32 hours per week. Weekends needed.
