Full Time Job
This position acts as the liaison for coordinating all elements between Broadcast operations and client entities. This position manages all media assets utilized by NE&O and their associated metadata. The Media Operations Coordinator oversees all media transactions supporting 3 broadcast networks, 10 national cable networks, 20th Television syndication, video on demand, and post production for FBC, FX and Fox Sports Media Group. Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate with other department are critical. The position is responsible for maintaining workflows and establishing policies that enforce consistent processes for managing media within all NE&O departments.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the tracking and ingest of all assets delivered to NE&O. This includes both physical and file based material
• Ensure that each asset is delivered in the required format including all appropriate metadata
• Catalog all assets within a common database utilizing established schemas and unique identifiers
• Process work orders that provide automated transcode, QC, and file movement based on client request
• Research and complete missing element reports using systems such as VPS, MTC, and the VOD Portal
• Communicate with both internal departments and external vendors to provide dynamic status updates for all deliverables
• Verify metadata is accurate and inputted correctly. This includes establishing policies for required fields within asset management systems along with notifications and reporting of errors
• Oversee and support user requests and rights for shared systems such as VPS, MTC, VOD Portal, and the media asset management system
• Monitor storage capacity and assist in the archive and purge process by working with the various departments to establish policies and procedure
• Book and schedule closed captioning for all pre produced programs
• Maintain caption archive
• Update programming schedules, status, and VOD grids for Broadcast Operations
Qualifications:
• College Degree and similar background with file based media management preferred but not required
• Must possess outstanding communication skills with a focus on customer service
• Bi-lingual in English & Spanish is a plus but not required
• Must be able to add and subtract time durations and be able to think and work in multiple time zones
• MS Word/Excel/Outlook
• Previous experience working with any Media Asset Management system is a plus
• Must work well under pressure, and be able to multi-task
• Possess the ability to work with an extremely high volume of content
• Must be available to work any schedule, including weekends and holidays

The Fox Networks Engineering and Operations Group (NE&O) is the group that is singularly responsible for the receipt, uplink, delivery and distribution of all networks wholly or partially owned by FOX, Inc. NE&O is a 24/7 mission critical operation which supports business units in seven distinct locations – three (3) in Los Angeles, California (Pico, Playa del Rey and 1440 Sepulveda); one (1) in The Woodlands, TX; one (1) in San Francisco, CA; one in Charlotte, NC; and one (1) in New York, NY.
